See how busy we are?
No one's had time to update in the last two days, mostly because our shoots have been running pretty long. The cool thing is that in the last 48 hours we've done almost every kind of shot - daytime interior, daytime exterior, nighttime interior, inside car, outside car, and lots and lots of bathrooms. Why does so much of this movie take place in bathrooms, Danuta? She doesn't know. She just likes bathrooms. Who can blame her? =)
The crew has also been pushing themselves really hard, and we all really appreciate it. The production team is slowly picking up the lingo, so that last night when Chad asked for a "Half apple" I actually knew 1. what he was talking about 2. where it was and 3. where he needed to put it. That's amazing! Okay, so maybe apple boxes was a bad example, but the amount of "white knowledge" we're all picking up on this movie is what keeps us going when the going gets tough. Or cold.
Yesterday we shot at Mugsy's Bar and Grill - people start drinking there at one o clock in the afternoon! I actually think the bar was busier at three than at nine! Unlike most of the people around where we've been shooting, they were not so impressed with the fact that we're making a movie. We did manage to steal one of them to be an extra in the "iced tea scene" (one of my favorites) and he did an awesome job. He also got some of the bar patrons to quiet down while we were shooting his close up! Doug, we salute you!! Congratulations on the baby!!
All in all, the crew and actors have been doing a great job (especially people like Stanly, who we've adopted as crew since he spent most of the day waiting for his scenes and ended up helping us dress the set and set up my marks for my big cameo). And of course, Danuta, Sarah, Mary Ann, and Kamil rock the body that rocks the party. W00T!
